HILL COUNTRY TOY RUN Pig Roast
October 9–11, 2026 | Blanco County Fairgrounds
Get ready for a full-throttle weekend at the 34th Annual Hill Country Pig Roast, October 9–11 at the Blanco County Fairgrounds in Johnson City.
The three-day motorcycle rally brings riders and visitors from throughout the Hill Country together for live music, a bike show, poker ride, games, camping and plenty of barbecue.
Live music takes the stage Friday and Saturday, while Saturday night features the event’s traditional free pig roast barbecue dinner. . More than just a party, the Pig Roast supports children and families throughout the Hill Country, with proceeds benefiting organizations including Cherokee Home for Children and the event’s scholarship program.
TEXAS Wine Jam
October 17, 2026 | 10:30 a.m.–6 p.m. | Downtown Johnson City
Raise a glass to Texas wine at the 6th Annual Texas Wine Jam on Saturday, October 17.. This one-day celebration brings together more than 20 Texas wineries for an afternoon of wine tasting, live music, food, shopping and opportunities to learn from the people behind the bottles.
General admission begins at 1 p.m. Guests can sample wines, purchase bottles directly from participating wineries and attend Spotlight Sessions featuring winemakers, growers and industry experts.Â
HILL COUNTRY Haunted House
October 16–17, 23–24 & 30, 2026 | 6–10 p.m. | 209 E. Main St., Johnson City
The Hill Country Haunted House returns to Johnson City for several October nights, bringing a terrifying experience to 209 E. Main Street. The 2026 attraction features 13 rooms filled with monsters, dark twists and familiar horror characters,
Whether you are a dedicated haunted-house fan or simply looking for something different to do on a fall evening, it offers a spooky addition to a Johnson City getaway.
Gears & Beers Car Show
October 24, 2026 | 7:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m. | Downtown Johnson City
Rev up your weekend with the 5th Annual Gears & Beers Car and Motorcycle Show in downtown Johnson City. Held around the historic Blanco County Courthouse and surrounding streets, the event brings together vintage, antique, classic and custom cars, trucks and motorcycles for a day of horsepower and Hill Country fun.
Visitors can browse the impressive collection of rides, enjoy food and local brews, and listen to live music from Vinyl Flashback,
Jazz Fest
October 24, 2026 | 5–10 p.m. | Memorial Park, Johnson City
Settle in for an evening of live music  and Hill Country atmosphere at the Johnson City Jazz Fest. This free community event brings talented Texas jazz musicians to the stage for an intimate outdoor concert surrounded by the beauty of the Hill Country. Guests can bring a picnic blanket or lawn chair, purchase dinner from local restaurants, and enjoy an evening of music under the stars.Â
